Good Burner : BH12LS35 Blu-ray Writer - Black - Retail - Internal
I bought this Lg Bh12Ls35 for a high end workstation, it was meant to be the primary Dvd/ Bl player. However, it can not be used as bootable expedient when I try to instal a flash copy of Windows 7 pro. Nevertheless, after I switch to my 4 years old Dvd burner, it boots right away and the Windows 7 is installed. Call Lg tech support, completed useless. I talked consolidate "technicians" who were not knowledge at all for the issues I raised. I wonder if they are even A+ certified. The first one didn't have the acknowledge for me, and second one told me it was the qoute of my "mother board" and the Bios!! Common, give me a break! I told the "technician" my brand new Mb works fine with older Dvd burner but not its crappy Lg Bh12Ls35.
I found out this Blue Ray burner don't retain Rom, that's why it can't be a bootable device. I end up getting the Asus Dvd burner as primary drive and keep this Lg Wh12Ls35 as Bl burner only. What a waste!
Always check on the tech retain before you buy any new gadget. You either have man stands behind their products or they are sit there and look silly.
